North Towers is currently available through TestFlight for iPhone, iPad and compatible Macs with Apple silicon. Check device requirements in TestFlight. Open the TestFlight invitation, install Apple’s TestFlight app if needed, and follow the invitation. Availability is shown by TestFlight.

Yes. North Towers is ad-free and its map, data and analysis features are free forever. Supporter is an optional contribution with a cosmetic badge. There is no subscription and no automatic repeat charge.

Connect to the internet and download the national database. Keep the app open while it prepares the data, then start exploring. Location is optional: you can search or move the map anywhere in Canada.

The app uses ISED’s public spectrum and installation records under the Open Government Licence – Canada. Site details retain source records; band names are derived from the reported frequencies. Source links and licence information are in Settings → About the data.

After the database download, you can browse site records, bands, antenna diagrams and favourites, using the lightweight Canadian basemap. Online Apple Maps imagery, address search, Look Around and database updates need an internet connection.

Open Settings → Database updates to check the installed and server versions and check for updates. You can enable automatic Wi-Fi updates and optional notifications for new releases.

They show reported antenna direction and beam width, grouped by band. Select an arc for its antenna details. Diagram size is a visual scale; it does not predict signal range.

Press and hold the site coordinates in Explore or Diagram to hide them. Digits are masked while formatting remains readable. Press and hold again to show them. Review the full screen before sharing it.

Open the cloud controls in Favourites. You can enable private iCloud sync or save a backup file. Turning sync off does not erase the existing iCloud copy. Keep backups somewhere you control.

The first Supporter purchase adds a badge and can be restored using the same Apple Account. Further contributions are optional, separately confirmed purchases and cannot be restored. All app data features remain free. Apple handles payment and refund requests. TestFlight purchases are sandbox tests: they do not charge you or carry over to the App Store edition.

Install the latest available build, reopen the app and retry on a stable connection. Check that the device has free storage. If it happens again, email the app build, device, operating system version and last visible step. Avoid reinstalling before backing up any favourites.

TestFlight lets you send beta feedback with a screenshot. You may also find a North Towers .ips report in iPhone or iPad Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Analytics Data. On Mac, open Console → Crash Reports and look for North Towers. Review the report before emailing it; logs can contain device information. If no report appears, send the time and steps instead.

Clear active filters and check that the cellular layer is enabled. Zoom out or search another area. Some records have missing source fields, and the database may not contain every physical installation. For a specific discrepancy, include the site or Cell ID and database version in your report.
