ISED source data
Site, frequency and equipment records come from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) under the Open Government Licence – Canada. That licence still applies to ISED’s original data: you can obtain and use it from ISED on its terms. These terms do not restrict it.

Our work
The corrections, standardisation, identification, derived values, analysis and presentation in North Towers, and its software, are the work of Michael S. and Kevin D. They are what make North Towers different from the source records, and they are not covered by the Open Government Licence.

What you can do
Explore North Towers for personal, educational, research or non-commercial purposes. Share links to sites and screenshots, save favourites and notes, and quote small amounts of information with credit: “Source: North Towers (northtowers.ca), based on ISED data.”

What needs our permission
Without written permission, please do not:
- collect North Towers data automatically or in bulk — scripts, scrapers, crawlers, or calling our query service outside the apps;
- republish, redistribute or sell North Towers’ corrected or derived data, in whole or in substantial part, including as a dataset, map layer, app or service;
- reverse engineer the apps or services, or try to work out or extract our correction methods;
- get around rate limits or security measures.
We may limit or block access that does.

Asking for permission
Research, journalism, operator or ISED collaboration and other uses are welcome to ask. Email contact@northtowers.ca and tell us what you would like to do.

Information, not guarantees
North Towers is provided as is. Source records can be incomplete or wrong, and our corrections are careful interpretations, not confirmations from operators. Do not rely on North Towers for safety-critical, legal or engineering decisions; ISED and the operators remain the authoritative sources.

Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the latest version; continuing to use North Towers after a change means you accept the updated terms.
